2011 Welcome Week
Welcome week is a time designed to help new and returning students get off to a good start for the school year. The office is open from 9:00 am to Noon, Monday through Thursday. Students and families who supplied a correct/valid email address on their fall application have already received an invitation to join us this week. We request that students call the office to make an appointment to help minimize wait time.
During your appointment you will visit the following stations:
Ms. Kay Kim
International Students and New Applicants should report to Ms. Kim first. She will update SEVIS records and direct you to the next station. She will also be issuing PE shirts.
Mr. Joe Kudsi
In Jupiter Grades (Snapgrades), you will
- Go to your info page on JG
- Update your photo
- Is your name correct? Is American Name listed?
- Verify ALL contact information, including parent and guardian emails
- Send out a new JG link to student and parent/guardian
On the Cambrian Academy Intranet, you will
- Show that you can still log into Cambrian Email (cambrianacademy.org/email)
- or create new email address and log in to verify
Mr. Paul McCullough
Math placement testing (up to one hour):
- Returning students should use their existing ALEKS account
- New students get a new ALEKS account and start assessment
Ms. Farah Priela
ESL Placement Testing (up to one hour)
Mr. Daniel Coca, Dean of Students
Class requests -- You will review your previous report card and log into JG to make your class requests for the fall. Keep in mind taht these are only requests, and that Mr. Delgado will review and finalize your schedule during the week.
Those who could not be here during Welcome Week will need to check in at the office after the Monday morning Orientation.
