Advanced Placement Tests
The Cambrian Academy has developed a young intellectuals' club for the
most advanced students--those who wish to earn college credit for
their work in high school. The College Board, makers of the SAT,
offers these classes in over thirty subjects each May. Students
may turn in portfolios for Studio Art, C++ programs for Computer
Science, math problems for Calculus, or essays and multiple choice
answers for English Literature and World History. Students of any
age can challenge the AP tests; our students frequently do, and
all of them have passed.
Cambrian Academy is also an approved testing center for the AP exams. Students who wish to take AP exams that are not offered by their own school, can take them here at Cambrian Academy.

Scholastic Aptitude Test
The Cambrian Academy offers intensive and long-term training classes
in SAT I and II preparation by qualified instructors who know SAT
timing strategies and practice to drill students in mastering test-taking
skills to increasing their performance on these crucial exams. Dramatic
results can come quickly when students learn superior methods of
eliminating false choices and making educated guesses to augment
their knowledge of reading, writing and English skills. Further
progress results when students learn word roots, suffixes and prefixes
to increase their vocabulary recognition skills while practicing
verbal and mathematics problems. SAT II verbal students naturally
study advanced grammar and timed writing. SAT II math students study
advanced math techniques with our finest math teachers. Our instructors
are qualified to teach most SAT II subjects that are available.
TOEFL
America is a land of immigrants, a land of freedom and opportunity. We offer
highly motivated and outstanding students of other nations the tools
they need to master the English language and prepare you for the
difficult TOEFL test.
